Sometimes mornings just call for a decadent latte and this is one of them! This Chocolate Covered Strawberry Latte is like the classic dessert but in latte form and packs 13 grams protein.

This latte has 4 different elements that come together to make a delicious drink. Strawberry syrup, chocolate sauce, strawberry cold foam, and a strawberry garnish are all added to the latte to make it feel extra decadent.

A FEW NOTES BEFORE WE GET STARTED
- Measuring Your Ingredients:
- I strongly encourage that you use a kitchen scale to measure your ingredients and ensure that you have the most accurate measurements possible.

You'll get started by making the strawberry syrup first. Combine strawberries, water, and sugar in a small pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and let cook for 10-15 minutes. Strain and let cool completely before using.

Now it's time for the chocolate sauce. Combine sugar, milk and cocoa in a small pot.
Whisk constantly until it thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a heat safe dish to cool completely before using.

To make the strawberry garnish, line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone baking mat. Chop chocolate and place in a small microwaveable bowl. Microwave in 10 second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted. Carefully dip one end of strawberry slice into the chocolate at an angle. Place on baking sheet and chill until ready to use.

Now you're ready to assemble that latte. Brew espresso into a small glass and set aside. Add chopped strawberry to the bottom of a tall glass and muddle. Add 2 tablespoon strawberry syrup on top followed by 2 tablespoon chocolate sauce.

Add ice and 7 oz milk followed by espresso. In a medium sized glass use a handheld frother to froth the milk and strawberry sauce until it has doubled in size and is thick. Start with the frother at the bottom of the glass and after a few seconds move it upwards to help. Carefully pour strawberry cold foam on top. Gently add strawberry garnish to the side of glass. Enjoy!
