These Hot Cocoa Milkshakes take a fun twist on the classic drink by making them cold, but keeping the best parts of hot cocoa, the rich chocolate flavor and the mini marshmallows. Sure, maybe they're not really "hot" cocoa, but they're just as delicious and so fun to make.

These milkshakes come together so quickly. They have three elements: chocolate frosting, chocolate milkshake, and whipped cream.
Now let's make them! Blend butter until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low, add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and heavy cream. Continue to mix on medium-high for about two more minutes, until combined.
Use an offset spatula or knife to carefully spread the chocolate frosting along the outside rim of each glass. Cover the frosting with mini marshmallows by gently pressing them into it, ensuring that they fully cover the frosting. Chill glasses in freezer.
Combine heavy cream and sugar in a medium sized bowl. Mix on medium-high with a handheld or stand mixer until somewhat stiff peaks have formed.
Puree ice cream and milk in a blender for 10 seconds until thick and creamy. Carefully pour the milkshake into each glass, making sure that it does not drip onto the chocolate covered rim. Top each glass with a spoonful of whipped cream and mini chocolate chips. Enjoy!
