Summer is almost here, which means I'm busy creating all kinds of fun no-bake recipes just in time for the heatwave. One of my go-to's every year is milkshakes! They're super easy to make and are the most delicious thing to enjoy on a hot summer day. This time I wanted to take a fun twist on the classic cookies and cream.
These Cookies and Cream Milkshakes take all the best aspects of a chocolate sandwich cookie, like its rich chocolate base and sweet filling, and combine it with cold, creamy ice cream for a delicious treat.
Topping it with whipped cream and more crushed cookie makes it extra delicious. You can add a spoon to scoop up the delicious cookie bits in between sips.
A FEW NOTES BEFORE WE GET STARTED
- Measuring Your Ingredients:
- I strongly encourage that you use a kitchen scale to measure your ingredients and ensure that you have the most accurate measurements possible.
- However, if you don’t have a scale on hand and will be using cup measurements, make sure to use the “spoon and sweep” method when measuring to avoid packing in too much of any dry ingredient.
- Check out My Favorite Baking Tools to see what I use when I bake.
I'm not kidding when I say these milkshakes are easy to make! You'll start off making the whipped cream by mixing together the heavy cream and sugar until its light and fluffy. Set this aside to chill. Next, crush your chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor or in a plastic bag with a rolling pin until they are somewhat fine with some larger pieces left.
Add your vanilla ice cream, milk, and almost all of your crushed chocolate sandwich cookies to a blender and blend until combined. And that's it! Pour the milkshake into two glasses and top off each glass with a dollop of whipped cream and the rest of the crushed cookies. Enjoy!
