These Peppermint Milkshakes are cold, creamy, and have the perfect amount of peppermint. They only take a few ingredients and come together really quickly too. They're such a fun and festive treat for the holidays!

These Peppermint Milkshakes get their delicious peppermint flavor from the help of peppermint extract and crushed candy canes. A few drops of pink food coloring gives them their beautiful color.

A FEW NOTES BEFORE WE GET STARTED

  • Measuring Your Ingredients:
    • I strongly encourage that you use a kitchen scale to measure your ingredients and ensure that you have the most accurate measurements possible.

To get started, you'll want to make the whipped cream first so it's ready to go when you top the milkshakes.

Combine heavy cream and sugar in a medium sized bowl and mix on medium-high with a handheld or stand mixer until somewhat stiff peaks have formed. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use, slightly whisking before using if need be.

Now grab your blender and add the ice cream and milk. Puree for about 10-15 seconds until it is thick and creamy. Add in the peppermint extract, crushed peppermint, and a drop of pink food coloring and puree for another 5-10 seconds until well combined.

Carefully pour the milkshake into each glass. Top each milkshake with a spoonful of whipped cream followed by more crushed peppermint. Serve immediately.
